OVNI 490 pilothouse

an ideal sailing yacht for all weather conditions

Alubat’s experience in building centerboard yachts combined with the Mortain/Mavrikios and CBA design offices reputation, culminate in this new Ovni 490 model in terms of comfort and performance.

The 490 shares the same hallmarks of the Ovni range: shaft drive, full sailplan, centerboard, and spacious interior with a raised salon layout. What sets the OVNI 490 apart are the pilot house and twin engines. One of the benefits of the pilot house is a protected environment in all weather conditions, while the twin engines increase your range for exploration.

Full-body aluminum NACA profile centerboard with manual lift.

The lifting centerboard allows access to shallow, protected waters, and the ability to beach without sacrificing performance or safety.

layout

The Ovni 490 is an ideal sailing yacht for all weather conditions. The pilothouse with 360 degree views is equipped with a watertight door and provides excellent visibility in all conditions.

A spacious cockpit is equipped with double helm stations. The dinghy arch is also ideal for mounting solar panels and other equipment. As with the Ovni range, the wide swim platform gives easy water access.

The panoramic windows and numerous opening portlights and overhead hatches provide plenty of ventilation throughout. Of course, the pilothouse is an extension of that living area.

There is large and spacious suite forward with plenty of storage and a separate shower and head. The two aft cabins are ideal for guests and family.
