OVNI 490 pilothouse aluminum sailboat
example of a very well equipped ovni 490 is priced at 1,320,428 €
The Ovni 490 is outfitted a hybrid INTEGREL alternator with a Victron System, adapting the Volvo diesel engine’s spare power to produce up to 9kW of energy that’s stored in a 48V battery bank and replaces a standard generator. That, along with premium sails by Incidence Sails, Europe’s foremost sail loft, and a full B&G navigation package, highlight some of the included equipment.
an ideal sailing yacht for all weather conditions
Alubat’s experience in building aluminum centerboard yachts combined with the Mortain/Mavrikios and CBA design offices reputation, resulted in the new Ovni 490 aluminum pilothouse sailboat.
The 490 sailboat shares the same hallmarks of the Ovni range and includes shaft drive, a complete sailplan for superior sailing performance, a centerboard, as well as a spacious interior with a raised deck salon layout.
a world of difference: pilothouse & twin engines
Where the OVNI 490 sailboat stands apart from the other Ovni range is the new pilothouse design as well as the twin engines.
The pilothouse is equipped with a watertight door and has surrounding windows for excellent visibility. That, as well as the secure position, makes it ideal for sailing in all weather conditions.
The well-connected pilothouse flows into the spacious interior which, with the expansive panoramic windows, numerous opening portlights and overhead hatches, provides plenty of ventilation throughout.
centerboard Advantages: go places where other sailboats can't
The advantages of having centerboard are numerous, from teh ability to beach your boat, navigate in shallow waters, and traverse canals. What is less known is the safety at sea when sailing in heavy weather.
The centerboard on the Ovni 490 is a full-body aluminum NACA profile centerboard with manual lift using existing winches.

Building Boats for People Who Know Boats
When it comes to buying a sailboat, experience matters—and perhaps nowhere is that more obvious than with the people who choose an Alubat.

Investing in the Future of Aluminum Sailboats
From a complete redesign of the OVNI range to the launch of an ultralight aluminum performance sailboat, and upgrading the shipyard facilities, Alubat is making major investments in the next generation of cruising sailboats.

New Standard 48V Power
Alubat is leading the charge by integrating 48V technology across their range—from the Ovni 370 to the 490.
